WDAA believe in providing facilities for anglers of all abilities and strive to have an open access policy to all members wishing to fish our waters. WDAA continue to look for opportunities to improve access by altering, adapting or removing physical barriers. We therefore welcome feedback from our disabled members on opportunities to improve.

Policy:

  • WDAA offer a discounted membership to all disabled members on production of recognised government documentation as proof of disability.

  • Additional fishing benefits such as Night Permits and Work Party Over Stamps are not issued at a discounted rate and will need to be purchased at full price.

  • WDAA recognise that disabled members who have severe mobility issues, may not be able to participate in work parties which enable them to fish the close season. Therefore, on a case by case basis, individual disabled members can apply to a select committee (Formed by at least 3 members of the Officials and GPC) for exemption from this requirement. It may be that upon agreement with the member and the committee, some lighter or reduced work parties are arranged to satisfy this requirement. Please send your Work party overstamp exemption request via the website online chat.
